Good Food Stories

Read a selection of Good Food Stories from farms all over the region who are selling local produce, farming regeneratively, and collectively believe in creating better food systems. These are great examples of where we need to go with farming in the region.

The Agroecological Jigsaw

(and the background to the Regenerative Farmers Network)

The South West Scotland Fork to Farm Dialogues took place between March and November 2021. The aim was to connect farmers and food producers with local authority policy officers to discuss shocks to the food system, and challenges faced by farmers. The project included Zoom meetings and Farm Walks.

At our August Farm Walks we had a visioning session. We imagined it was 2045, and we thought about what out food and farming systems would look like, smell like and taste like if we had radically de-carbonised our economy and society.

Our conversations were captured by artist Emily Tough, who has created this beautiful image. This has been printed and turned into a large jigsaw that can be used at community events as a way to talk about what we want our agroecological future to look like.

If you would like the Agroecological Jigsaw to come to you for an event, please get in touch.
